We are pleased to let BVI residents and snowbirds alike know that we have started a Community Supported Agricultural program. It is the easiest way to get consistent fresh farm produce in the BVI.
Here’s how it works:
You pay a monthly fee for a box of farm fresh produce per week. Produce is seasonal and will vary from week to week. You may also receive wild harvested produce, preserves and cassava bread.
Boxes come in two sizes. Regular and large. A regular box is $40 per week, a large box is $60 per week.
Pick up time is Saturday mornings at Good Moon Farm above Cooper Bay.
If there are vegetables and fruit that you and your family do not enjoy, let us know. We will leave them out of your boxes.
Why do CSA? The benefits are numerous for both the farm and the consumer. Our customers get to experience the freshest produce on the farm from herbs and vegetables to fruit. As the farmer, we avoid crops missing their peak time due to no/limited customers. The assortment in each box can be an experience in it’s self. Several customers have told us that because of their CSA boxes their families have been introduced new foods or a new way of cooking. Picking up your box familiarizes you and your family with the farm and the farmer. We love meeting our customers and showing you how your food is grown.
